Welcome back. You belong here.
We continue with a brand NEW series called What Do You Mean, where we ask 10 world changing millennials their experiences on four key issues: love, mental health, money and faith.
TODAY! Taylor Cassady (Ms. Long Beach 2016) – on dating/love life, mental health regimens, career/future ambitions and her testimony of faith 👑💜🙌🏻
ON DATING – “I need to learn how to love myself first, I still had to work through the other issues regarding trust, but once I got there, it took me 2.5 years tot get there, but I’m there, now the world of dating concerns me. There’s dating apps, things that are more geared towards hook-ups.
A lot of people are not interested in developing a relationship, it’s very one sided, I don’t care about the other person.
For me, if you want to take me on a date, you have to plan in advance, that shows that my time is valuable, it means that you really care.
ON GETTING BAPTIZED – “My pastor said, come up to get baptized, he prayed for me, it was exhilarating, it was crazy, my mind went blank. I came out of the water, I came out of the water and it was like revival, it was so refreshing.
I’m still not perfect, I’m still praying for guidance, grace and peace and serenity. But the biggest thing is that I have involved God in everything that I do, I am praying a lot more than I did before and I’m at peace a lot more than before”.
