In this Episode: Once I was told by a fellow parent at our kids school tell me “are you some kind of Renaissance man or something?” I didn’t know how to take that, should I be offended or was that a compliment?
I had a counselor once tell me “don’t ever let them tell you you don’t belong here. Be yourself!” And even though I believe those words, at times I struggle with belonging, my guess is we all do.
For example, a few weeks ago I had a very gifted and talented friend tell me “Trig, I don’t feel like I belong, I want to change that”.

All of us have said the same thing, do I belong anywhere? I believe the answer is yes and no. In this episode I talk my own experience with not-belonging and how I’m learning to overcome that and show up. I also talk about the book by Brene Brown called “Braving the Wilderness” where she talks about belonging. 

I hope this episode helps you understand that you are fearfully and wonderfully made, yes, perhaps you’re a “renaissance man” or a “quirky woman” (many of us are) but you are needed in this world, just as you are. In Jesus Name!

I have been married 22 years to my beautiful wife Rachelle! We have three amazing teens, one is a top model and successful entrepreneur. I’m a pastor, speaker and content creator. In 2013, I recorded my own CD of original songs, then in 2014 I wrote an e-Book called “How to live an Anxiety Free Summer” and an article called “High Anxiety” for Leadership Online.
But it has not always been easy…
I grew up far from home, dealt with fear and anxiety, went through a terrible war, was unemployed for nearly a year and have felt fearful and insecure.
But through grace, love and discovering my God-given adventure I have achieved everything I want in life. Now I’m here to help you achieve GOZO and succeed in life!
So In 2010 I started my own media company called #GOZOtv! with thousands of views online. l love my job and now I get to do what I was created for, now I feel like I’m living on GOZO street! (GOZO btw, means JOY!)
