Welcome back. You belong here.
“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:25
We all long to be free from perfectionism, to accept yourself freely, to know that you are more than enough, to extend grace to those you love.
But often, you end up doing the opposite, you push yourself to exhaustion, you never feel like you’re good enough, you make others feel inferior.
God tells us that because of what He’s done for us, we can live differently, we can live under his grace not under the law. Like that favorite school teacher who made math fun, living under God’s grace, makes life fun once again.
When we live without shame, we stop trying to be perfect. Perfectionism is the result of hidden trauma in our lives that has yet to be resolved. But God wants to fill every empty part of your past with his grace.
The solution to perfectionism is to know that you are the Beloved God, you are no longer a slave, having to fight to belong, you are now an adopted son or daughter of God.
The Bible says in Galatians 4:5 In order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
Today, live in the freedom of God’s love, give him your shame and guilt and pursue your dreams freely once again.
