I’ve always worked out. I remember lifting weights on the steps of our apartment when I was 15 years old. I got in the best shape of my life at age 38, lost a ton of weight (40lbs) and was lifting 5-6xs a week. I did it by following Body-For-Life for 6 months which basically means you starve yourself to death and work out like crazy. It worked.

Currently I work out 3-4xs/week, do yoga every week but am not in the shape I want to be. The other day during yoga I thought to myself “what is that getting in the way of this position?” OH! It’s my fat belly. Nice.

Since turning 40, things have slooooowed way down. My body just won’t do what I want it to do, my metabolism is slower and my eating has not changed to reflect the changes. My working out is good, could be better, but my eating is terrible. Two nights ago I had pizza, last night I ate chocolate, yeah…

So before making another empty New Year’s resolution, this morning Rachelle and I both talked and committed to 21 Days to Change Your Body. We’re gonna find a nutritionist, read a few books, get some fresh ideas and get going. Wish us luck!

What are your healthy eating options? What are you doing to stay focused on healthy eating, weight loss and working out?
